|
All props come painted. Please specify any special needs
related to the paint such as aged, stained, or customized in other
ways. Every effort will be made to achieve the most realistic
paint job possible. Guns will have the first inch of the barrel
painted SAFETY ORANGE, unless
your state does not have a law such as this. All prop
firearms are restricted to those 18 and over. Verification
will be required. We do offer quantity discounts.
* Your choice of "Weathered/used"
appearance or standard wooden bat appearance. Please specify.

Flexible foam-
Like the name implies, it is a flexible product, and is the choice
when a prop must interact with an actor, such as slap stick style
humor, a beating from a weapon, or something along those lines.
It is very close in properties to a firm sofa cushion. Larger
flexible foam props almost always have a rigid armature of some
type to maintain their shape, without it they would wilt or deform.
There are a few types of this material, self skinning and
standard. Self skinning foams will produce their own skin
to capture all the surface detail, the other type must have a skin
first, then be filled, when this foam is used normally a latex skin
is applied, but for those with latex allergies we can substitute
that for another material. Please ask about it, there may
be a cost difference.
|
|
Rigid foam-
A stiff inflexible foam, similar to Great Stuff spray insulation
that is available at home improvement stores. However unlike
the canned insulation foam, it is a 2 part mixture and captures
details well. It tends to be on the fragile side, and is very
lightweight, so it's best used for background props, or for those
on a very tight budget. It is the cheapest of the materials
we use.
For those who wish to cut costs, but require a strong prop, we
can produce a piece with a urethane skin that is filled with rigid
foam. Please ask for more information and pricing.
|
|
Urethane resin-
The strongest of the materials we use for producing most of our
props. Urethane resin is a 2 part liquid that forms a rigid
plastic when it cures. It is quite strong, impact resistant
in most cases, and is also the heaviest material we have, so you
have an added quality of realism. We have two types that we
use. The first can be foamed to form a rigid foam, and the
second is a clear variety that can be tinted to almost any color
which remains completely solid. Various additives can be added
as well, some increase the weight, some can achieve a metal like
finish. Ask about them if you're interested, otherwise they
come as solid resin tinted black or white.
|
|
Fiberglass-
We only use in the helmets and custom props normally. A glass
fiber cloth is embedded in polyester resin to add strength and stiffness.
It is somewhat labor intensive, and due to this not used in
our standard props.
