part 1 of the mold, the right side of the handle. You can see that wood was used to seal the openings.
The handle along with a wood box that will serve as a gutter key when removed from the silicone. Also you can see the styrene that will contain the silicone.
The walls glued in place, you can see where the keys, holes for bolts, and prypoints will be in the fiberglass.
The silicone is poured and curing. The wood stick is embedded into the hot glue, when pulled it will remove all the hot glue and walls as one piece. Hot glue is used to seal the box to eliminate and leakage.
The walls removed, keys and pry point glued in place and ready for fiberglass shell to be made.
The shell has been made, plastic removed, and ready for the second half of the silicone.
The second half of the silicone is in place, hot glue has been added over the pour holes. This will provide cutout areas to inject the mold with resin. PVA has also been applied to the fiberglass.
The outside of the mold showing the injection hole access areas.
The other half of the fiberglass shell, you can see the keys and the holes to bolt the halves together.
